Some of you know that my mother sadly passed away on Christmas Eve. She had a fall while my sister, Margaret, and I were with her, and was admitted to hospital where she died several days later of Covid pneumonia. She had been getting more and more frail, with worsening dementia and she was nearly blind so we knew her end was approaching but it was still a shock when it happened. Mum had a strong faith so we can be sure that she is now with the Lord and at peace. Her funeral was at the end of January in her local church, then at the crematorium. I led a short time of prayer at the crematorium – it was a privilege to be able to do that last service for her.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in prayer over the last couple of years as Mum deteriorated and to thank everyone who has sent messages of sympathy. Many thanks.
